Over the weekend, our technology consortium suffered a systems outage. The outage affected critical operating systems in the district, including but not limited to heating, telephones, and classroom technology. Jackson County ISD technology staff is working to fully investigate the disruptions and to restore affected systems.
Because this will take some time, superintendents from both Jackson and Hillsdale counties have determined the best course of action is to close schools for tomorrow, Monday, November 14, 2022. Columbia Child Care will also be closed on Monday, November 14, 2022.
We understand the difficulties this decision may cause, and appreciate your understanding and patience as our technology team works around the clock to get our systems back online and our students back in school. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
