School Board Elections - Filing Information Due to Coronavirus precautions the filing procedures to run for a school board position are slightly different. Printed packets are available for pick up in the Superintendent's Office at 11775 Hewitt Rd., Brooklyn, MI 49230. Please call in advance to arrange a pick up time. Packets can be mailed upon request by calling 517-592-6641 to provide name and address. At this time the Elections Directors office at the Jackson County Courthouse is closed to the general public. A candidate can submit their original, completed Affidavit of Identity and original completed Nominating Petition via USPS mail or by making an appointment with Election Director Jenny Crews on Mondays or Thursdays. If you have any questions about filing for a Jackson County office, please email Elections Director Jenny Crews at jcrews@mijackson.org or call 517-768-6759.
