Grace Willoughby Announced as the Distinguished Young Woman of the Irish Hills
The Distinguished Young Women of the Irish Hills Scholarship Program is proud to announce that Grace Willoughby has been selected as the Distinguished Young Woman of the Irish Hills 2021. Grace is a high school junior from Columbia Central High School where she is an Honor Student and participants in the Performing Arts Program. She is part of the Columbia Marching Band and also the Adrian College Marching Band. Upon graduation from High School, Grace plans on attending Adrian College to pursue a teaching degree.
Grace will be representing the Irish Hills Community at the Distinguished Young Women of Michigan State Scholarship Program in July and at community events throughout the year. “We are excited to have Grace as a representative of our community and feel she will be a wonderful role model for the youth in our community” said Jan Witte, State Co-Chairperson of the Distinguished Young Women of Michigan Scholarship Program.
The Distinguished Young Women of the Irish Hills Scholarship Program is open to any high school Junior living in Lenawee or Jackson County. This local scholarship program is part of a state and national scholarship program which celebrates scholastics, leadership and talent. This is a wonderful scholarship program, which recognizes academic achievement, community service, physical fitness, and the performing arts. Thousands of dollars in college scholarships have been awarded through this local program over the past twelve years.
