Tonight the Columbia School Board considered a suggestion from the administration to join some other districts in Jackson County by attending school for half days this week. The superintendent and a representative of the Columbia Education Association, agreed to alter the school calendar by scheduling half days on Thursday and Friday, in addition to our traditional Wednesday half day. Not only will this address the affects of the heat on children wearing masks while riding busses, it will give our teachers an opportunity to review and reflect their first days of school.

Students will eat in the cafeteria wirh their classmates. They will remain with their cohort class and be safely distanced from students in other classrooms. Meals will be delivered to each table. 🍎 https://youtu.be/5UMqDulUUqY
