First we want to extend our sincere appreciation to Ryan Hackworth for his many years of dedicated service to Columbia School District. We are incredibly grateful for his commitment and leadership and wish him all the best in his next endeavors!
We are excited to announce that Joe Niehaus will join the Columbia School District leadership team this January, serving in the dual role of Athletic Director and Dean of Students. Mr. Niehaus brings a wealth of experience in both student advocacy and athletic department management.
He comes to us from East Jackson High School where he’s been an Athletic Director for the last three years. During his tenure, he developed a leadership style centered on teamwork, accountability, and student growth - values he’s eager to bring to Columbia Central.
In addition to his athletic background, Mr. Niehaus’s experience as a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coordinator makes him a perfect fit for the Dean of Students role. His proven track record of developing interventions that keep students engaged and successful in the classroom aligns perfectly with our mission of promoting excellence in every arena.
Mr. Niehaus will officially begin his role when we return from winter break. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome! We look forward to the energy and expertise he will bring to our hallways and sidelines.
