A few weekends ago, Senior Kelsey Fausz and Sophomore Maddy Truax took on the challenge of the MHSAA Division 4 State Finals at Ferris State University’s Katke Golf Course — representing Columbia Central with heart and determination. Through rain, wind, and tough competition, these Golden Eagles showed what perseverance looks like. Kelsey capped off an amazing high school career by finishing 11th in the state, highlighted by a birdie chip-in on her final hole! Maddy gained valuable state-level experience, finishing strong and showing composure well beyond her years. Both golfers embodied what it means to compete with pride, sportsmanship, and Eagle spirit. Congratulations on an incredible season, Kelsey and Maddy!
