Job Shadow

A reminder: All 11th-grade Columbia Central High School students will participate in the Junior Achievement Job Shadow Experience this Thursday, April 20th. Junior Achievement works hard to coordinate each student's experience based on their career choices. We are lucky to have so many volunteers in our community to welcome our students into their businesses.

Students received information about their job shadow on Monday and have made confirmation calls and/or emails. They will continue to work on drafting questions to ask their mentors and researching their businesses during SAT Prep classes. Please review the link below for helpful information on job shadow success.

How to Stand Out on Job Shadow Day

Students who have permission to drive themselves are responsible for their transportation.
They will not report to school on Thursday. If your student is a driver, please ensure they have plenty of time to reach their destination.

All bussers will report as usual, and we will coordinate their departure and arrival. We have already coordinated this based on their permission forms.

Attendance is verified by Junior Achievement. We will not update attendance until later in the school day, please note your child may be marked absent. Please be patient as we communicate with the job sites.

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, a few students will be placed later because of scheduling conflicts with local businesses. Students must attend school and Career Center on Thursday if they don't have a placement. Bussing to the Career Center will be provided at the regularly scheduled time.
