SENIOR INFORMATION for COHS, CVA,and Adult Education


FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2020

Dear COHS, CVA and Columbia Adult Education Class of 2020,

I hope you have had a chance to review the COHS Continuity Plan.  This document should answer many questions that you have regarding how the rest of this school year will look.We very much want to celebrate the Class of 2020 and all of their hard work!  As stated before, it was our hope to reschedule prom and graduation if at all possible. 

The following information is being provided as a tentative Save the Date.  Please note, we will continue to follow appropriate COVID-19 safety precautions and these dates are subject to change again if required to do so.  

Save the Date:

  • Wednesday, July 22-Prom-8-11 PM, Location and details TBA 

  • Monday, August 17- Farewell to Seniors luncheon at 11:30 a.m at COHS,  pick up caps and gowns if have not already

  • Tuesday, August 18 - Graduation rehearsal and photos taken by Picture This Jackson at 5 p.m.-- CCHS; Graduation at 7 p.m. in CCHS auditorium

Please review this additional important information for Seniors

  1. We will be featuring a Senior Spotlight for all of our COHS, CVA and Adult Ed seniors. Please email your senior pictures and either a memorable quote that has meaning for you or describe what it is like to be a senior during the Coronavirus pandemic to lisa.klink@myeagles.org

  2. Senior fees for the cap and gown is $50. Payment can be made when you pick them up. They will be available for pickup at the end of May. Please call the school office at (517) 529-9400 or email Mrs. Hannewald at kristy.hannewald@myeagles.org to schedule a time for pickup. 

  3. Please email your T-shirt sizes to Lisa Klink.

  4. If you have not already been in contact with Lisa Klink (Options and CVA students) or Jordon Goodwin (Adult Education students) regarding your credit status, please contact them ASAP. (lisa.klink@myeagles.org or Jordon.Goodwin@myeagles.org

  5. If you are a senior, but still need to make up some credits, this new graduation date gives you a bit more time to finish. You may enroll in credit recovery courses and/or summer school. 

  6. Graduation yard signs will be available for purchase for $20.  Please email Lisa Klink to reserve a sign.  

  7. Be the Light for the Class of 2020---Columbia School District will join school districts across the nation every Friday at 20:20 (8:20 p.m.) by lighting up the football stadium in honor of the Class of 2020!  Reminder: We cannot have gatherings. Please stay home and stay safe! You may drive through the school parking lot, take photos, and show your support but you must remain in your car. Please no parking or standing outside of your vehicle #Bethelight, #Classof2020, #GoldenEagles.
