Student projects from Miss Anderson's and Mrs. McMichael's classes were displayed in the high school media center. In Miss Anderson's class, 8th-grade students designed an ugly sweater and then needed to pitch their design using a rhetorical appeal. In Mrs. McMichael's Sculpture and Ceramics class, students created cardboard gingerbread houses.

Come support our high school leadership students as they ring the bell for the Salvation Army on December 14 from 10 am - 6 pm in front of the Brooklyn Country Market. There is a friendly competition with Jackson Northwest on who can collect the most amount of money on that day. The winning ringers will be treated to lunch by the Salvation Army, but more importantly, will be able to add the power of service to their holiday season.

Columbia School District is excited to announce the return of "Stuff the Bus". This event is all about giving back to our community by stocking our local food pantry's shelves for the holiday. Columbia students will be located in front of the Brooklyn, Polly's Country Market. Students will be accepting donations from December 6th through the 8, from 10 am to 6 pm. All donations will be delivered to the Brooklyn Food Pantry to help our communities this holiday season. When you visit Brooklyn Country Market, look for the big yellow bus to drop off any donations.
