Today, Mr. Wesche's Horticulture class extracted honey. The bee hives were loaned by another owner to provide the students the experience with the process of extracting honey from a bee hive. The goal next year is to have the class extract honey from their bee hives.

Reminder that NWEA testing for students in grades 7-11 will begin on Monday, September 9th. Please have your student bring their Chromebooks fully charged each day.
This week in Mrs. McMichael's Art classes, the students created designs to be used for their mobile project. Through the use of a laser machine loaned from the Jackson County ISD, the student's designs were then created out of acrylic to be used for their mobile.

This year all of the 10th grade students will be certified in CPR and First Aid in Mrs. Liebau's class. The students were taught by certified instructor Karyn Cripps who is our school nurse.

There will be a Junior High Robotics team/parent meeting on Thursday, September 5th at 5:30 p.m. in Mrs. Holbert's classroom (323). Anyone interested in being on the Junior High robotics team should plan on coming to that meeting with an adult. You do not need to have robotics experience to be on the team.
