CCHS: The Leadership class and Hope Run Committee is hosting Cancer Awareness Week this week in collaboration with the Block Out for Brantley event on Tuesday. Donate $10 or more, and wear a hat this week. Each morning donate and get a pink wrist band to wear your hat.

We have a 5th-grade student, Brantley, in our district who has been diagnosed with Chordoma, a type of cancer that forms along the spine. It is rare, especially in children his age.
We have contacted the family, and they have graciously agreed to let us help them and to make it public knowledge. The Volleyball Program will be celebrating him, along with other cancer survivors, at our Pink Out game on October 11th. The celebration will be between the JV and Varsity games. We will have a silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 raffle as fundraisers at the game, and this T-shirt sale ($15.00). The proceeds will go to the family to help with travel, food, and misc. costs. You are also welcome to donate gas cards or cash if you would like. There will be an envelope in the office of each building for these donations.
If you are interested in buying a $15.00 t-shirt (Block Out for Brantley-short sleeved black shirt with white and pink print), please fill out the attached form and return it to the high school office, Mrs. Tompkins or venmo Heather Hoskins: @heather-hoskins-16 with your name and shirt size NO LATER than Wednesday, October 5, 2022. No late orders will be accepted. Thank you!

Please join us for the first Coffee with the Counselor for parents. This will be on October 19th from 12pm-1pm.

Safe Routes to School programs aim to make it safer for students to walk and bike to school and encourage more walking and biking where safety is not a barrier. We are working with community organizations to complete a grant project that will connect our junior-senior high school campus to our elementary schools through a safe trail system. We are asking for parent input on this important project. Please complete the survey for Safe Routes to School.
