Six Columbia Central athletes went to SVSU to compete on their state of the art 300m indoor track. We had two state qualifiers and everyone ran PRs. Athletes can still join the indoor track club if interested in preparing for the outdoor season. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursday at 3, we meet in front of room 225.

We will begin our NWEA winter assessment cycle on Tuesday. Students will participate in the subject area of Math this week. Please remind your child to bring their Chromebook to school fully charged on their testing dates.

Bottle Drive to Support the Academic Games Team-
We want your returnable bottles and cans!! The Academic Games Team is holding a collection through Saturday, January 28th as a fundraiser. Drop off bottles and cans at Mr. Woodard’s room OR on Friday from 3-4 in the front circle OR on Saturday from 10-1 at Brooklyn Presbyterian Church Parking Lot. Thank you for your support!

The class of 2026 is putting on its first fundraiser! March 18th, we are heading to a Detroit Red Wings game and then to take some time down at the Greektown Casino! This trip is for adults who are 21+. The space is limited to the first 56 people who sign up and pay. Please see the flyer attached for more details.

Snow Snake Ski Resort Itinerary:
7:00 am: Arrive at Columbia Central High School for departure. Meet in the front of the school and gather in the cafeteria. Attendance will be taken and we will board the bus.
7:15 am: Leave from CCHS
9:30 am: Arrive at Snow Snake Ski and Golf Resort located at
3407 East Mannsiding Road, Harrison, MI 989-539-6583
10 am - 4 pm: Ski Snow Snake!
7-730 pm: Estimated arrival back to Columbia Central. If you are picking up your child from the school, please arrive when the bus returns back to CCHS.
-Students may bring money for food at the resort or pack a lunch. Lunch will not be provided. Click here for menu. Pizza will be served on the bus ride home.
-Personal ski equipment is allowed at the owner's discretion. We will not be held responsible for the students' equipment.
-If you are driving your child individually, please be sure the school is aware.
-It is recommended that students bring snow pants, jacket, hats, gloves, boots, and some type of scarf for the wind and cold temperatures. We would also suggest extra dry clothing for the way home, extra snacks, and water as well.
-There will be no lessons for snowboarding. Ski lessons are reserved for skiing only.
