Please attend the home boys basketball game tonight at CCHS! When students arrive to the game, they will be able to register with American 1 Credit Union for the half court drawing. Two students will be chosen to participate. The registration will be in the athletic lobby.
High school girls who will graduate in 2021 and live in Lenawee or Jackson County are eligible for the Distinguished Young Women of the Irish Hills Scholarship Program. Email irishhills@distinguishedyw.org and attend the meeting on 1/12/20 at 2 pm at Jan's Dance Connection.

Auditions for the CCHS Spring Musical of Disney’s, The Little Mermaid, will take place on January 12th from 1-4 PM. Come anytime during these hours. Be prepared to sing, read, and dance. Audition materials will be available outside the choir room starting Wednesday this week.

On Thursday, American 1 Credit Union will visit the home varsity basketball game. Students may enter the FREE half court contest and win $500 cash if they make the basket! If the student does not make the basket, they will still receive $50. The school may earn up to $1000!

The American Prospect High School Essay Contest to Engage High School Students on How to Create a More Inclusive Economy
The American Prospect magazine, in partnership with Omidyar Network, announces the first annual American Prospect Essay Contest.
Many Americans are considering how to create a more inclusive economy. This competition will give high school students the opportunity to read and reflect on one of four renowned books exploring how the economy works in terms of poverty, race, markets, and democracy. The students’ essays will explore where the economy falls short and what we might do about it.
Prizes total $30,000: First place for juniors and seniors is $10,000; second place $5,000; third place $2,500. First place for freshmen and sophomores is $5,000; second place $2,500; third place $1,000. Forty honorable mentions will be awarded at $100 each. The Prospect will publish the winning essays at Prospect.org and feature a selection in the print edition. The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2020.
