Good Afternoon Columbia Central Class of 2020,
I hope you have had a chance to review the Continued Learning Plan. We encourage you to remain connected with your classes through May 15, 2020. Please feel free to reach out to any staff member with questions.
After discussing graduation with staff and hearing from many of you and your families, we have decided to reschedule our Senior Week for later in the summer. This information is being provided as a Save the Date for these exciting upcoming events. Please note, we will continue to follow appropriate COVID-19 safety precautions and these dates are subject to change if required to do so. A detailed letter will be sent home to Seniors and their families about these events and other necessary information.
Save the Date, Senior Week:
- Tuesday, July 21-Lifetouch Graduation Photos, Senior Brunch, Student Award Presentation, Decision Day Announcements, Jostens Delivery for caps, gowns, and tassels, Photo sessions by appointment will begin at 8:30 AM and brunch will begin at 10:30 AM. This is a student event and should last until approximately 12:30 PM.
- Wednesday, July 22-Prom-8-11 PM, Location TBA (survey will be provided)
- Thursday, July 23-Baccalaureate-7 PM, Location TBA (survey will be provided)
- Friday, July 24-Graduation Practice-9:30-11AM, Graduation-7 PM, Jackson College Potter Center
Please review this additional important information for Seniors
- Please email Mrs. Prendel, nianne.prendel@myeagles.org, your First, Middle, and Last Name as you would like it to appear on your diploma.
- Graduation yard signs are available for purchase in the high school office for $20. You may email me to reserve a sign. They may be picked up on our Locker Clean Out day, May 6.
- You will receive an important survey for all Seniors to complete. Please submit your responses by April 24.
- Be the Light for the Class of 2020-Columbia Central will join schools across the nation every Friday at 20:20 (8:20 p.m.) by lighting up the football stadium in honor of the Class of 2020! Reminder: We cannot have gatherings. Please stay home and stay safe! You may drive through the school parking lot, take photos, and show your support but you must remain in your car. Please no parking or standing outside of your vehicle #Bethelight, #Classof2020, #GoldenEagles. The graphic for this event is attached for you to share.
- On Wednesday, May 6, from 2 PM-6:30 PM, our school will provide a Locker Clean Out Day. Parents and students should drive up to the front parking area where the busses load. We will allow 10 students in the building at a time. Seniors will pick up their belongings, hand in textbooks, pick up graduation announcements and other personal items purchased from Jostens. Students must maintain social distancing practices and may not gather.
