The Columbia School District One-To-One Initiative program allows children to take home a Chromebook.

Technology Handbook

If a student qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunch, the cost for insurance is $5. Otherwise, the cost is $40. Curbside pickup for In Person learning students will only become available should we switch to distance learning, however; families must register and pay at the start of the school year to reserve their device.

Virtual Learners at CUES

Should you wish to borrow a Columbia Chromebook, please fill out the technology form below and pay $40 for the insurance. Insurance for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch is $5. Curbside pickup will be offered on Wednesday, August 26th from 1-3 p.m. at CUES.

In Person Learners at CUES -  At CUES, those enrolled as an In Person learning student will only take their Chromebooks home during distance learning. Students who are In Person learners and will need to borrow a device should we switch to distance learning,  please fill out the technology form and pay $40 for insurance. Insurance for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch is $5. Our ISD technology team will prepare those students' assigned devices with the appropriate filters so if/when the student is required to switch to distance learning they can take their device home. We use our devices daily at CUES so chrome books for In Person Learners remain at school unless distance learner occurs. If the student is never required to switch to distance learning, the insurance is non-refundable.
