Student Activities & Clubs Information

Lego Club

  • Grades 2nd & 3rd only

  • Students will participate in Lego based STEM activities with an end of season competition.  

Okay to Say

-A presentation on reporting anonymously when a fellow student is reporting suicidal ideation, threatening behavior or self harm (Grades 4-6 only)

Safer, Smarter Kids (K-5th)

-Abuse prevention and personal safety curriculum lessons by grade level taught in the form of videos from a CSD board of education approved curriculum.  This curriculum is taught in mini lessons throughout the school year.

Counseling groups

-At periodic times, the counselor will run small group counseling sessions. If your student is invited to a group you will receive a permission slip with details specific to that group.

CES Peer Mentoring Group (called K Kids at CES) 

- 2nd graders are invited to mentor kindergarten students with positive play and social interactions 2-3 times a month.  

CES Cares (CES K-2)

-Community service based projects.  Students meet during the school day 1-2 times a trimester.

Peer Mentoring Group (CUES)

-Only selected sixth grade students are peer mentors at CUES (more information will be provided to those selected at that time)

K-Kids (CUES)

-Meets after school throughout the year participating in community support based activities.

Student Council

-Two students are selected from each class. They meet periodically throughout the school year, during the school day, and participate in school projects, such as Christmas Help, Student Council Fundraiser, Project Joy, etc.

Smiles on Wheels (Dental)

-Free Dental cleaning and some additional  services for students who opt in.  If you choose to opt-in an additional permission slip will be sent home.

Vision & Hearing Services

- CES & CUES students are screened by the health department to check their hearing and vision.  Parents are notified if they do not pass to follow up with an outside provider.

Mindfulness Morning (Mondays and/or Fridays)

-Students who choose to participate come to the gym after morning announcements and practice mindfulness activities, such as practicing breathing techniques, Tai Chi, yoga, stretching, visualization lasting no more than 20 minutes.

Credit Union

-Second & Fifth grade students run the credit union and other students can do banking on a specific day of the week. 

Band (5th & 6th grade only)

-Students participate in a band class similar to junior high/high school lead by Mr. Stout. This is an after school program twice a week.

Girls on the Move (4th, 5th & 6th grades only, girls only)

-The girls who choose to participate make crafts, dance, listen to speakers and have discussions all developed to empower them.

*Please check “All” if your child has your permission to do all programs/activities. Please check individual programs/activities if you give permission for only specific programs/activities.

*Some clubs/programs have limited space.  Opting in does not mean your student automatically is admitted.  You will receive additional information and/or additional permission slips if you have opted in and your student will be moving forward in the program
