Dear CES Families,

We are so excited to begin instruction on Monday, January 4th, 2021!   

IN PERSON LEARNERS

We look forward to seeing our In Person Learners in the building on Monday, January 4th, 2021.  This includes all students in Preschool, Young 5s, Kindergarten, T1, First & Second grade.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR IN PERSON LEARNING

  • Chromebook, if provided

  • Chromebook Charger, if provided

  • Headphones

  • Boots for outside

  • Shoes for inside

  • Gloves

  • Snow pants

  • Winter coat

  • Extra pair of socks 

  • Extra masks

  • Whiteboard, if provided

  • Healthy snack each day

  • Water bottle

  • Blue Communications Folder

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS

In Person Learners will:

  • stay home when they are not feeling well.

  • have their temperature taken before school begins.

  • wear masks except while eating, drinking and playing outdoors.

  • wash or sanitize their hands frequently.

  • remain within their classroom cohort, whenever possible

  • be quarantined, when necessary, following the Jackson County Health Department guidelines

DROP OFF & PICK UP WINDOWS FOR CAR RIDERS

  • Drop off window - 7:45 - 8:05 a.m.

  • Dismissal window - 2:40 - 3:00 p.m.

BUS TRANSPORTATION

All bus routes and pick up/drop off times remain the same, unless the transportation department notifies you of a change.  If you have transportation questions, please call the Columbia Transportation Department 517-592-6449.

VIRTUAL LEARNERS

Mrs. Rentschler looks forward to seeing all of her Virtual Learners on Monday, January 4th.  Your weekly packets are available for pick up in your mailbox in the childcare lobby.  Students will follow their normal daily schedule.  Mrs. Rentschler can be reached by email at Kelly.Rentschler@myeagles.org.

BREAKFAST & LUNCH

All students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.  Meal pick up is available at the Columbia High School every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. for families who are virtual. 

QUARANTINE

If your Little Eagle is currently in quarantine due to being exposed to a positive Covid case, please notify the office at 517-592-6632, the attendance hotline at 517-592-7552 or email Trudy.Wright@myeagles.org.   We look forward to seeing you very soon.

ATTENDANCE HOTLINE

Please call the absentee hotline at 517-592-7552 if your child is ill or has an appointment and will not be at school.
